The honeybee population is constantly declining and even though that doesn't sound like a real problem, it is. Honey bees are very important because they play a big role in the world's ecosystem. They need our help to help them sustain life. Now, with bees and honey bees, in particular we know that over one-third of our food supply relies upon them for pollination services and we know that pollination is essential for the reproduction of the plants that the bees service. They provide us with sweet honey, they pollinate our flowers, and they pollinate most of our food crops. In fact about 75% of the world’s crops benefit to some degree from animal pollination which includes bees. Almonds, apples, avocados, blueberries, cantaloupes, cherries, cranberries, cucumbers, sunflowers, watermelon and many other crops all rely on honey bees for pollination. one way we can help sustain our honey bees is to build artificial beehives for them to live in.       ...
